Do we care about the developing world?

industrialisation

Yes obviously we do, world wealth means world health and world security. But CAP, the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy, apart from all the other criticisms is also anti-developing world. How? It puts tariffs on base commodities but even higher tariffs on manufactured goods thus discouraging industrial development in those countries. I’ve already posted about how the EU is contra WTO and the noble goal of global free trade. I’m sure we could do better for the developing world.
